Could ObamaCare Destroy Our Republic - Yes, That Is Possible, By Lance Winslow

Many don't see the Affordable Healthcare Act as serious as I believe it to be. You see, it changes the way we live, how we see government, and it modifies how our system of society and our civilization operates. It also affects our economy and the health care sector. Okay so, let's talk.

There was an interesting article in the Atlanta Business Chronicle on November 14, 2013 titled; "Georgia Affordable Care Act enrollment - 1,390," by Carla Caldwell. Now then, what happens if very few people sign up onto and enroll in ObamaCare, only those who get lots of subsidies, and what happens if all this PR by the administration (paid for by the taxpayer) drives huge numbers onto state health care programs? Well, let's take Georgia as a case study and then extrapolate how this ObamaCare law could theoretically gut our Republic.

Well, let's consider what I've just stated above in GA. This means most all of the people that live in GA who went to the ObamaCare website to sign up, chose the State Programs, meaning the states now have more costs. If this continues, it will bankrupt every state or put them into terrible budget crisis.

Is it the handlers of the Obama Administration's intentions to destroy our states so everyone is beholden to the Federal Government? Surely not right? Well? If it were their plan, it is a brilliant strategy to destroy our entire government structure and take it over, reshape it into some other type of government structure.

Now then, why I am worried about this is because we are supposed to have strong states and a weak Federal Government, not supreme centralized control. If the states collapse and everyone relies on the Federal Government, what happens when the Federal Government Collapses? Do we end up with Global Government, or will it revert back to a distributive type government, stronger local control, as was originally intended. No need to answer, just looking down the road at the implications of what's going on here.

This is not a leap or a stretch by any reality, it's just the culmination of this trend and if it continues we could be headed for real trouble. I fear we are headed for trouble, and I can't for the life of me figure out why we'd ever want to go there, knowing what we know about human history. This whole ObamaCare is a mistake, and it takes a man to admit when he's made a mistake, but if we have no real men running this Administration or government - it's time to remove and replace them - yes all of them, and that goes for both genders in our leadership. Please consider all this and think on it.

I See No One Is Responsible for ObamaCare - Remind Me Again Why I Am Required to Participate, By Lance Winslow

Every complaint I hear from nations with Universal Health Care, all the complaints the Democrats and their followers claim not to exist, I now see suddenly appearing under ObamaCare, and just think - it hasn't even started yet. People in other nations say the health care system is terrible, that you have to wait to see a doctor or specialist, and if it is something serious, by the time you do, it could be too late. And if you are too far gone by then, well, it doesn't seem cost effective to fix the problem, after all, there are others with needs too, so you shouldn't expect the system to neglect everyone else on your behalf.

Ah socialism and the death (literally) of the individual - please, someone remind me why socialism is such a great way to run a nation. With ObamaCare we already see shortages, high prices, reduced services, and doctors quitting (early retirement). Do you remember that famous song "Cold As Ice" by Foreigner which says:

"You're as cold as ice, You're willing to sacrifice our love. You never take advice, Someday you'll pay the price I know, I've seen it before, It happens all the time, You're closing the door, You leave the world behind."

This song flashed through my mind as I watched Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius explain to the Congressional Investigation why the ObamaCare website didn't work - turns out as she told the nation - that it's really no one's fault. I see, so no one is responsible, and yet they've already spent something like $293 Million on the contract, with more to follow (total somewhere about $600 Million) plus the hiring of the "technology surge" of the "best and brightest to come fix it all and that it will be up and running right after Black Friday, which will leave retailers in the red if consumers find out how much ObamaCare is going to steal from their monthly spendable income.

If no one is responsible for this mess, why should I be responsible in signing up for it under threat of the IRS? That's a fear tactic and I thought that making someone by "protection insurance" was considered extortion and against the law, I mean didn't we throw the Gambino Family in prison for that? The funny thing is when Americans get the bill for their health care insurance, they are liable to have a heart attack, which I guess is okay because all these problems are occurring before ObamaCare, not pre-existing. Please consider all this and think on it.

Has The Insanity Of Race Baiting Professionals Finally Gone Too Far? By Paul Pajaken

I really don't know where to begin with Obama's life learning curve being raised by communist parents and a whole community of Islamic teachings. His being taught in Islamic schools with a step parent in Indonesia. He claims he was never a practicing Muslim student but to have been given his middle name " Hussein " you have to be a Muslim under Islamic law. He speaks the language perfectly and can quote the Koran line and verse and in the language of the Koran.so that he gives himself away in speaking engagements. Eric Holder under this President has refused to indict black criminals like the black panthers at the polling places and many others because they were black and not because they did not have cause to prosecute. This administration and all appointees under Obama seem to have the idea that they can do whatever they want and get away with it. It is the arrogance and blatant disregard for the law that is starting to infuriate the American public. I believe American will soon get angry enough to call these groups and people to account before the courts and congress in ways that might cause a real backlash that Obama and his administration will not be able to handle. The attitude that seems to permeate this whole administration is that they can do whatever it is they want to do without regard to the laws we all have to live by. It seems to happen with every top heavy democratic administration who has a majority in either house they control. This President has had four years of almost complete control of both houses and they have rammed through whatever bills and programs they wanted, even against the public's speaking against these programs and bills. It is the arrogance and insulting manner by which these things were done against all public demands for review and consultation by congress. Obama care has been an unmitigated disaster for the American public and now they want to delay the enforcement of its provisions until after the next election cycle for fear of losing even more seats in the senate. Obama care is not sustainable financially. and will collapse by it own weight under rules and regulations spewing forth from government offices trying to control costs and people.

It is so hard to know what Obama believes in because he changes it every time he speaks to an audience with differing interests than he spoke to in his last speech. His appointees are all in opposition to the posts they were appointed to. His most glaring misfit is Eric Holder to administer the justice department. He runs it like his own private police force with orders to not indict people of color without his personal O K and will let obvious criminals walk, like those Black Panthers who stood outside polling places brandishing batons like the Gestapo they resembled. It is very hard to understand the mentality of people like Obama, Holder, Hillary, Van Jones, Jessie Jackson, Soros, and the long list of radical appointees way down a long list of people they surround themselves with who think America is at fault for all the ills that plague the world. Blame America first seems to fill some kind of need within the liberal press and all through the Washington liberal establishment that lives within the bubble they all inhabit. They talk amongst themselves and agree with each other and never talk to the real American people throughout the country who see the real truth that comes to them over the internet and Fox news, that at least claims to give both sides equal coverage. MSNBC might as well be a campaign office for the democratic party and even they are speaking about Obama care being unmanageable in its present form.

Now we have to get the American people informed enough to make themselves vocal enough around the whole country to stop Obama care with whatever tools are available to us. My hope is that the congress will get enough feedback from their constituents to give them enough backbone to defund the whole program and cut it off at the base by withholding funding and kill it altogether. Once it isimplemented in October and Obama can, with the help of the media that loves him so much, hold off real opposition until after next years elections, it will be too late. He has exempted almost all his supporters and backers like the unions and big businesses that give him money and support. He is dumping on the middle class again and especially young people who will be hit the hardest to fund an impossible program that would drag down every small business in the country. He has strangled the oil and gas industries that could make us energy independent and keep the oil money we are sending to middle east countries who hate and despise us, here to build our infrastructure back up and create jobs by the thousands. It is very hard to know where to start with cutting back government spending when every congressman and woman and senator has his or her special project for their district waiting to be attached to one bill or another. We could start with closing one military base in each state where we have dozens of useless bases feeding at the budget trough for the military and use that money to care for our wounded veterans who need our help desperately.

Once a government program is started it will never end until the American people demand it. Unfortunately the American public is extremely uninformed about national budget issues unless it affects them directly. There are so many issues that need attention and it is only possible to do so if you can reach large numbers of people and engage them on specific problems. In the meantime please keep what I say in mind and discuss these problems with friends and family and maybe we can get some things done one at a time. It will have to start with each one of us, one at a time.

It's Time for a Balanced Budget Amendment, by Lee Eldridge

I've long made a joke that credit cards are evil. But that's not true. When a person who is responsible with their money uses a credit card responsibly, credit cards are not evil at all. Try renting a car or making a hotel reservation without a credit card. Credit cards also offer a level of protection when you make purchases. For instance, if you buy something online, and you're unhappy with it, or it's never delivered to you, you have the option of disputing the charges on your credit card. It can protect you from many of the possible dangers of purchasing something from an unknown company.

The problem is that many of us do not use credit cards responsibly. When my wife went back to school to finish her degree, we were making very little money. We were basically living off student loans and credit cards. By the time she got out of school, we had racked up thousands in credit card debt. We were buried with it and finding it difficult to dig our way out. We considered bankruptcy.

We went to a credit counseling service, chopped up our cards, and made monthly payments until we were out of debt. It's a liberating feeling to make that final payment on your credit cards. We haven't looked back. We no longer use credit cards. If we can't afford it, we don't buy it. We have learned the hard way that we're better off without credit cards. It doesn't make them evil. It just means that we're not responsible enough to use them responsibly. Because of our access to "money" on our credit cards, we were spending more money than we were making. We were running a budget deficit every year.

Does this remind you of our federal government at all?

Since the early 1960s, our federal government has run budget deficits every year except 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. They spend more money every year than they receive in tax revenues.

Many have brought up the idea of a balanced budget amendment. This would force the federal government to balance their budget every year, and eliminate budget deficits.

In theory, I disagree with this approach. But in reality, it needs to be considered.

Why? It's kind of like credit cards. In theory, credit cards are useful and offer purchasing protections for consumers. But in reality, many consumers use them to buy products they cannot afford.

In theory I oppose a balance budget amendment. In times like these when our country is in a recession, or is coming out of a recession, tax revenues to the federal government are down. A balanced budget amendment would force the federal government to reduce services during a time we need them the most.

But reality shows us a different picture. If the federal government ran budget surpluses during the good times, we could trust them to make good decisions and allow them to run budget deficits during the bad times. The problem is that our government does NOT run budget surpluses, even during the good times. They just continue to increase spending in good times and bad.

They are not responsible with our money, and they need to chop up their credit cards. It's time for a balanced budget amendment. It would be good for our country, and ultimately, good for our economy.

Obama On Terror: The King Of Denial, By Larry M. Elkin

A colleague recently fielded a call from an American living in Europe who is considering renouncing U.S. citizenship - not for tax reasons, as the caller does not have the income or wealth to make that a consideration, but because of the obligations we impose on expatriates.

Unlike most countries, which tax only residents, we expect our citizens to pay taxes on their worldwide income no matter where they live. We require them to file separate annual reports on their foreign bank accounts (along with new disclosures demanded on many tax returns) under threat of draconian penalties, even when there is no tax avoidance. And we demand that foreign banks report Americans' holdings to our government, a burden that has led many institutions to limit their business relationships with our expatriates.

These burdens might be excessive, but we can at least view them as a price to pay for the privileges that accompany our citizenship. If you are an American, you can walk up to any U.S. Customs counter, present your passport and know that you are legally entitled to dwell and work in this country, no matter what the person sitting in that booth may think of you. You also live under the protection of a government that operates around the globe, backed when necessary by the most powerful armed forces the world has ever seen.

So my colleague advised his caller to consider very carefully the ramifications of renouncing his American birthright. If he still wishes to proceed, we will be glad to help with the financial aspects of the process.

I agree with everything he said, but late last week I had to wonder whether I could deliver the same patriotic speech, in good conscience, in the wake of President Obama's widely reported recalibration of the war on terror.

Though murky about many details, Obama made clear that he has grown tired of this struggle, and he presumes that most Americans have grown tired of it, too. He sought to redefine U.S. objectives "not as a boundless 'global war on terror' but rather as a series of persistent, targeted efforts to dismantle specific networks of violent extremists that threaten America." (1)

If our government chooses to fight only "specific networks" that "threaten America," what should I say to a U.S. citizen in a European capital, who is just as much a target as anyone in New York City, and probably much more accessible to attackers? Do I just tell him to come home if he wants his government to protect him?

America is fighting a global battle against terror because terror targets Americans globally. Obama is not the first president to bear this burden. He is simply the first president to reject it.
Our citizens have been targets around the world for decades. Leon Klinghoffer, a wheelchair-bound retiree from New Jersey, was shot in the forehead by the Palestinian hijackers of the Achille Lauro cruise ship in the Mediterranean in 1985. The murderers then forced two crew members to throw Klinghoffer's body and his wheelchair overboard. (Klinghoffer's body, recovered by Syria, was returned to the U.S. He and his wife are buried in New Jersey.)

The 1986 bombing of a West Berlin disco killed two people, including a U.S. soldier, and wounded 120, around 40 of whom were Americans. Two years later, Pan Am Flight 103 was blown out of the sky over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 259 aboard the aircraft (including 179 Americans) and 11 people on the ground. Both attacks were blamed on the Libyan government of Col. Moammar Gadhafi; U.S. forces bombed his personal compound in 1986 in reprisal for the Berlin incident.

The 1990s brought a litany of outrages, including the first attack on the World Trade Center (1993), the bombing of two U.S. embassies in Africa (1998), the attempted millennium bombing of Los Angeles International Airport (thwarted in the last days of 1999), the attack on the U.S.S. Cole while it was docked in Yemen (2000) and, finally, the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Some of these attacks took place on our shores, some thousands of miles away, but all were coordinated or assisted by people abroad whose sole objective was to kill, maim and terrorize as many Americans as possible. Though al-Qaida was a player in all these incidents to varying degrees, terrorists don't incorporate their organizations, nor do they always follow hierarchical chains of command. To target only "specific networks" of terrorists is to presume, with no factual basis, that we know exactly which terrorists are in which networks at any point in time, and which of those networks are targeting us.

Through a combination of extremely hard work, close cooperation with other nations and sheer luck, we have avoided any incidents of mass carnage inside the United States since 9/11. (This is not the case elsewhere, as the mass-transit attacks on Madrid in 2004 and London in 2005 attest.) There have, however, been many smaller incidents and close calls, including the Fort Hood shootings and underwear-bomb attempts of 2009, the printer-cartridge bomb that was intended for a cargo plane in 2010, the Times Square attack the same year, and of course the Boston Marathon bombing this year. Abroad, the killing of an ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi last year was the worst incident, but not the only one. All of these recent events have happened on Obama's watch.

This may be why the president did not declare the war on terror to be over, exactly. He simply made the self-evident observation that "this war, like all wars, must end." (1) While meaningless to Americans, it was probably an encouraging signal to all the would-be killers whose greatest fear is an American drone-fired missile. Obama did not promise an immediate end to the drone program, but he proposed multiple restrictions, including a new criterion for assaults: a near-zero likelihood of non-combatant casualties.

Every violent radical abroad will hear that message loud and clear. If you use your families or other nearby innocents as human shields, you are safe. To Americans abroad, as well as to our allies and part-time friends who sometimes offer critical assistance, there is another message: You are on your own.

At its heart, the president's speech was a call for the United States to return to the posture we held in the 1990s, when we treated each incident as an isolated crime. These brought solemn vows of punishment that, ultimately, never came.

The speech will be heard, in capitals around the world as well as in terrorist hideouts, as a declaration by this president that he refuses to let global security concerns rule the rest of his term in office, no matter what the actual situation on the ground may be. Obama appears to believe that if you can't see an end to the global terrorism fight, you should just declare it over, so that you can get on with the things you want to do before you write your memoirs.

He might call the last installment of his autobiographical trilogy Cairo On The Potomac: My Days As King Of Denial.

I don't know what to tell the next American who calls to talk about renouncing citizenship, except this: A U.S. president's term only lasts four years, but when you walk out on this country, you do so forever.

Socialist Voting Neo-Liberals Really Do Believe They Are Smarter Than Everyone Else, by Lance Winslow

A couple of euros ago, I was sitting in the Starbucks in Brentwood California at The Village and got into rather an interesting dialogue with someone who was apparently far more affluent than I. He also let me know that he was quite well-educated. Our political viewpoints clashed immensely, but we were civil of course. He was what you might call a limousine liberal, but quite frankly as far as I'm concerned he would be more well represented with the title of; socialist. Of course, this is not a negative for folks that live on Los Angeles' Westside, it's a title they'd gladly wear on their sleeve in red with symbols to boot. If only they'd study their history to realize how wrong they have it. Okay so let's talk shall we?

In an attempt for him to pull rank on me, he asked where I went to college. The reality is I had to leave college to run my business, I could no longer sit in classes losing hundreds of dollars per hour listening to monotone teachers that wouldn't answer my questions. No, I didn't flunk out, matter fact I was getting some seriously excellent grades at the time, and taking 33 credits in a single semester, in fact I think I have the record, but I digress.

When I explained to him that I had to leave college to run my business, he said, "no wonder you have the views you do." What he was trying to say in a polite cryptic manner, was that since I didn't go to his Ivy League university that his parents paid for that he was smarter than me, and I was naïve in some way. Well, that's utter nonsense, I've been to every single city in this country, and I've built a rather large businesses before retirement. I'm not naïve about much in this world.

However, after I considered his conclusion in trying to size me up, it occurred to me that it was he who had been brainwashed, and the reason our views on politics clashed was because he had been educated to believe certain facts which simply aren't true. In fact, he may know quite a bit, but if they are untrue points of data then he's living in a falsehood, and he's only been able to get where he has because of his contacts, the contacts he made at the Ivy League school, and due to his strong American name, and family money. No, I'm not diminishing his genetic line, I to have a Mayflower ancestry.

It's unfortunate that he thinks he's smarter than everyone else, because the policies that he props up, along with the current Teleprompter in Chief's socialist regime are gutting our military, and destroying the fabric of our society from within as they borrow our treasury, country, economy, and next generation into oblivion. Maybe that's why the new Hollywood Tom Cruise movie was titled; "Oblivion" at least that's my guess.

It's unfortunate that these individuals won't listen to reason, or step back just a couple of squares and look at the box they've allowed their minds to be trapped in. If they could just see how silly their arguments are, and how devoid of common sense they've gotten, perhaps we could fix this country. The problem is they use their money, power, and influence to help themselves to a gravy train of crony capitalism, all the while they complain that the actual free-market capitalists are to blame. It's utterly laughable, except when you think about it, it makes you want to cry.

Trust me when I tell you that the crowd of limousine liberals, and the candidates they support are not smart, corrupt maybe but not too bright. If they were smart we'd have this economy cooking along, the economic pie would be larger with more for them too. Also, our military stronger than ever, and we wouldn't be in jeopardy of losing our superpower status.

If they were smart, we'd have this global economy running like a Swiss timepiece and there would be peace and prosperity world-wide. But that's not what we have is it? Nevertheless, these people claim they know everything, that there smarter than everyone else, and yet, there's no way to talk any sense into them. We have no choice but to take this country by storm in the next election and do it ourselves. Please consider all this and think on it.

Hugo Chavez Is Gone - We Should Allow His Peaceful and Quiet Exit Without Praise, by Lance Winslow

President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela has died, and many are waiting the three week celebratory funeral procession, one I believe to not be deserved. What many do not understand, especially out here in Hollywood California, is that Chavez had brought financial ruin to huge amounts of that population as he attempted to redistribute wealth, and as time went on the poor were poorer, the wealthy, many had left, unless they were on Chavez's insider track, others lost everything. The middle class nearly permanently destroyed. That's the truth, the truth needs to be told.

Why you ask? Because, if Chavez goes down as a hero to the people, then others will emulate and do more damage in the future. We need to make it clear what happened and make sure history gets it right. This will help the most people in future periods and it will be the most fair for all concerned. Okay so let's talk shall we?

FOX News had an interesting feature titled; "Venezuelans in US Hopeful of Change After Chavez Death" and they stated; "Cheering Venezuelans in the U.S. waved their country's flag and anxiously voiced hope that change would come to their homeland after the death Tuesday of long-ruling populist President Hugo Chavez."

There have been a few here in the USA who've said such things as; "The USA can only pray to have a man of his courage and vision. I will miss him."

Interestingly enough, we do have someone just like him, The Teleprompter in Chief and Class Warfare Evangelical Obama. Ever heard of hope and change? Of course, if I utter these words I am shut down by political correctness told I am ignorant, and that comment is off the wall or even racist.

No the statement came from history and the nationalizing of foreign assets, censorship of the media, devaluation of their currency, formation of ALBA, comments against Bush at the UN, calling Americans the "blue eye'd devils", his dealings with Iran and secret shipments, involvement with FARC, turning other nations against us in South America, and so many more things.

That's what Hugo Chavez did, he was not a champion of the poor as Sean Penn or the LA Times might have you believe. The poor in Venezuela are not better off today, their economy is in shambles, unemployment out of control, increased crime, meanwhile all this is being played out across South America, so Chavez was no hero to the people, in fact he'd caused endless pain.

You see, America needs to wake up just as the people of Venezuela need to wake up, my statements are not ignorant at all, I just happen to not be so snowed with the proclaimed Simon Bolivar reincarnated and smart enough to recall Hitler was a socialist, charming speaker, and came in under the labor party and preached hate towards the wealthy and minorities (Jews, Gays, Gypsies, Etc.) and if you look closely there are far too many repeats here in the US in the present period as well.

Consider that President Obama is doing with our 1% today (that is a minority group by definition as it 1%, what else could it be) and Obama is going after anyone who is of the other political persuasion. It's a scary thought that someone would attempt to divide and conquer so deeply in order to promote a political agenda, one which if left unchecked will cause the same economic and social ruin that Hugo Chavez brought to Venezuela, god rest his rhetoric. Please consider all this and think on it.

Should The Democrat Party Change Their Name? by Lance Winslow

It is important for every political party wherever they might be throughout the world to have strong branding. If they don't brand themselves correctly they are less likely to spread that net out large enough to encompass the most number of people. I'd like to take a look at the Democrat party in the United States of America. They claim to be the party of change and hope, although if they really wanted to change, they might first change their branding and rebrand themselves exactly what they are. Indeed, the other day I jokingly told a friend running for a high Democrat Office that in my opinion he might tell his local Democrat Committee to change it to something like the destroyers due to the joblessness and economy.

Now then, every high school football team has a mascot, and a name to help everyone on the team get on board. It doesn't seem like the donkey should be synonymous with Democrats. I mean the way I see it, it doesn't make sense for a jackass to be the symbol of your party, of course, whatever floats your boat? It's just I wouldn't want that as my symbol or what I stood for. After all they aren't actually donkeys, they are humans!

After my Democrat friend and I had a round of high-charged political barbs and laughing the whole way, I once again told him that; "It appears to me that a more descriptive name might be; The Destroyers!" He just laughed and reminded me of big business, Wall Street, and various previous wars our nation had had.

So, I asked him to just take a gander at our healthcare system, our educational system, our welfare system; Social Security, Medicare, and other social programs that the Democrats have been in charge of. Look at Freddie and Fannie and how that was an enabler of the 2008 real estate crash? I told him to look at the programs they've instituted, and run, and legislated into existence and how many of them have imploded due to the law of unintended consequences. He assured me all of those programs were needed for the common good.

"Well, if the Democrats actually believe it is in the best interest of Americans to have programs they start fail, then shouldn't they be honest with themselves and change their name? It would be more descriptive, it would help all the voters know exactly what they're voting for when they vote for someone in the destroyer party" I explained.

Then as we sat in the coffee shop I noted that people were gathering up on both sides of the debate and my Democrat friend went into a monologue about all the things wrong with the Republican Party, and several of those listening on that side of the fence asked; "yah, what about all that?"

Now you might be angry with my observations here, but you cannot deny what I'm saying if we look at history. It's up to all Democrats to understand the truth and understand what their policies are doing. I was of course read the "riot act" after I made my closing arguments, no wonder Washington DC can't get along - most Americans can't either. Please consider all this and think on it.

Run From Government Healthcare, by Richard Ruhling

The "Affordable Healthcare Act" is neither affordable, nor healthcare. IRS estimates the cheapest family package at $20,000 per year, and that doesn't cover all the costs!

And it's not healthcare--it's medical care, a leading cause of illness, disability and death. Medical care and healthcare are inversely related--the more pills we take, the worse our health gets from adverse side effects because drugs are chemicals that become toxic in the body.

The Western Journal of Medicine reported 199,000 outpatient deaths from Rx drugs, estimating 116 million patients saw a doctor for it, 8 million admissions to the hospital and 3 million admissions to long-term care (messed up for life, reported June, 2000).

Nobel Prize winner Hans Krebs was concerned about internal pollution. Decades ago he said that many people continue taking a drug after it has helped them when it is no longer needed and he mentioned much over-prescribing by many physicians. What would he say now with 4 billion prescriptions written in 2011--that's 13 prescriptions for every man, woman and child.

Perhaps the best view of drugs is what they bring you to at the end. If you ask the average patient taking 11 prescriptions a day, (nursing home average), How are things going? you'll find their appetite and energy are gone and their thinking is fuzzy. Seniors can even stand in the nursing home hallway and fill their diaper as they stare into space, thinking everything is okay!

Big gov wants to control medical care and because there's too much money in it. People want to eat, drink, smoke and abuse themselves. These are factors in high cost of hospitalization. "If millions want to live that way, why should someone who lives carefully be taxed to pay their medical bills?" Nowhere does the Constitution provide for government "healthcare." Trusting the government on this won't be good.

Dr. Marcia Angell, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, authored a book, "The Truth About the Drug Companies: How They Deceive Us" She told 60 Minutes (1990's) that pharma spends $400 million a year on congressional reelection campaigns. I visited US Senate offices to discuss Rx drugs as a leading cause of illness and death as supported by medical literature, and one senator said, "You are wasting your time... They own us."

A growing number of physicians are seeing that disease is reversible with nutrition providing what the body needs and that we should take responsibility for our own healthcare. Nobody cares about our health like we do or can do.

Dr. Richard Ruhling was board-certified in Internal Medicine and taught at Loma Linda University. His website at http://LeadingCauseOfDeathPrescriptionDrugs.com claims that heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and other medical problems are reversible if we know how to cooperate with the body. His main webpage is http://RichardRuhling.com and his book, Apocalypse 2013, supports huge events this spring.

Gun Control Is Overblown, by Todd Lester

Contrary to what is commonly reported, gun-owners do not have a problem with rules. In fact, the National Rifle Association has three basic rules one should follow when handling firearms. The first rule is to always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. Second, keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot and third, always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use. Firearms are admittedly dangerous and therefore sensible, mature rules are necessary and strongly encouraged by gun owners.

When new federal gun laws are proposed the NRA typically lobbies against them. That makes perfect sense when you think about it. If you, for instance, were a member of a union and your organization needed to rewrite its bylaws, would you hire someone who has expressed outward hostility toward unions to help you with this important task? Of course not. You would demand proper representation.

That is how gun owners feel when laws and regulations affecting their behavior are proposed by people who have never shot anything more dangerous than an angry look. If gun laws need to be addressed then gun owners should naturally have a significant level of input. Firearm legislation should be proposed under an air of fairness and reason, not fear and desperation. If you grew up without firing a weapon you probably don't see a need for them. If you grew up without unions, ditto.

Unfortunately, gun laws are oftentimes proposed after tragic shootings. That too makes sense on the surface but laws should be written by sober, sensible representatives. Fear and desperation are emotions that typically lead to poor choices. We are shown videos of the children who lost parents to gun violence in an effort to convince people to choose emotion over reason. But what about the children whose parents are alive because they had a gun available for protection? Aren't those lives just as valuable?

Recent mass shootings have understandingly stirred up emotions in people. Hopefully they bothered you too. However, even as gun ownership reforms are being introduced, the very people pushing for new regulations are already admitting that the rules would not have stopped any of the shootings. It is unfortunate that dead children are being as used as human shields in order to push forward political agendas. Every day, four children die in the U.S. from abuse. That too is horrific but yet goes unreported. The media apparently considers some deaths to be more tragic than others. National tragedies need to be addressed but asking criminals and unstable people to complete and file government forms will not stop gun violence. Gun crimes are ultimately about mental capacity, not magazine capacity, and gun laws rarely address the true issue.

Statistics reveal that gun-free zones are where the most lives are lost. If it is especially egregious to engage in violent acts against the weak and the unprotected then why would we not then arm the weak and unprotected with the tools to protect themselves? If fences make good neighbors then guns make safe neighborhoods.

One tongue-in-cheek solution would be to arm all of the women who are interested in carrying a weapon. We as a nation are concerned about protecting children. Where clusters of children are found their mothers are typically close by. Why not provide for them the tools needed to protect their own children?

An additional benefit of such action would be the immediate drop in domestic violence cases against women. Attempting to rob an elderly woman may net you sixty-eight dollars in cash or you could end up with a thirty-eight caliber slug in your abdomen. It could go either way. Let the criminals worry about that for a change. Inexpensive revolvers are easy to use, lightweight and would serve such a purpose very well. As my U.S. Army officer sister-in-law puts it, "just point and click."

Keeping Track Of Current Events - You'll Need An Obama Nonsense File Folder, By Lance Winslow

Well, as a prolific online article writer that writes political articles and Op-Eds I must stay up on the current events of our time. That means I read several newspapers, and take all the online news as you do, and I carefully clip and collect the articles that are important as time progresses. Most articles are very easy to categorize. I can put them in folders such as economics, environment, education, technology, or perhaps broken down into one of the many industry sectors. Still, there is one other type of article that I just see too much of, and that's what I'd like to discuss here today.
There are far too many articles which are nonsensical. They are policies of the Obama Administration which just don't make sense, or a regulatory bureaucracy gone wild. Some new scheme, excuse, or blame game trap or trip up. These articles are so ridiculous it's hard to believe they are happening here in the greatest nation ever created in the history of mankind, United States of America. And yet they are, and so I've labeled a new category; The Obama Nonsense File Folder.

For instance and just to give you an example of some of the nonsense I have put into my Obama Nonsense folder, an article from the Wall Street Journal on February 12, 2013 titled "Millions Improperly Claimed US Phone Subsidies" by Spencer E. Ante. Interestingly enough, this is already the fullest folder I have of all the topics I track, and mind you I have some 100 categories and 400 sub-categories. Some things just don't fit into a pure political category or into a specific area of science, or industry sector. That article is yet another perfect example; the Obama Phone Program.

As unfortunate as it is, that particular file folder is filling up faster than all the others, there are now hundreds of articles in there, it just keeps growing every single day. How can one administration or one man do so might destroy this great nation, make so many mistakes, and blow through so many things which should be common sense? It's inexcusable, it's scary, and quite frankly it's unacceptable. If you are a true American, I'm sure you agree, and if you are a writer or politically inclined, or if you study the events of our time, and yes we do live in interesting times, then you'll have to agree.

What I ask is that you please consider all this, and think about some of the articles you read today, or perhaps this week which would fit into the Obama Nonsense File Folder. I bet if you clip and cut out some of these articles and look at them from time to time, you will realize just how insane the policies of this administration truly are and while the rest of America forgets you'll have the proof, so keep cutting and clipping those articles, because if socialism gets much deeper than this, you'll be clipping and cutting coupons just to afford to eat. Please consider all this and think on it.
